Visit of the Romanian Chief of Defence Staff, General Nicolae-Ionel CIUCĂ, to NATO HUMINT COE

The NATO HUMINT Centre of Excellence hosted, on 18th of September 2019, the visit of General Nicolae-Ionel CIUCĂ, the Romanian Chief of Defence Staff.
During the visit, General CIUCĂ emphasized the NATO role in assuring security and stability, based on shared values of democracy and liberty, mentioning that NATO HUMINT COE, alongside other NATO Commands on Romanian soil, are tangible examples of our contribution to this goal.
Acknowledging the Centre`s contribution to NATO, General CIUCĂ outlined the importance of interoperability, which is best accomplished through standardized individual and collective training. At the end, interoperability achieved in training is validated in theatres of operations, where troops have to work together.
Recognizing the merits of the Centre, General CIUCĂ awarded our institution with the Romanian General Staff Emblem of Honour.
