On the 22nd of June 2023, NATO Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Mircea GEOANĂ visited the NATO HUMINT Centre of Excellence (HCOE).
The discussions were centered on the role of Intelligence in supporting the military decision-making processes. “Proud and impressed of the high quality of activities in service of our great Alliance, I look forward to seeing the Centre expand and support the many tasks and missions in all domains, in a 360° approach” stated Mr. Mircea GEOANĂ.
HCOE’s efforts to keep NATO HUMINT connected to the rapid development of technology and dynamics of the operational environment are translated into a series of projects covering the full transformational spectrum (standardization, concept development and experimentation, education and training, and lessons learned), with tangible impact at the level of the HUMINT discipline in NATO, and capacity development at national level.
The permanent connection not only with NATO Command Structure and NATO Force Structure, but also with Academia and Industry, allows HCOE to keep its relevance as a hub of expertise and places it at the spearhead of any initiative in support of the HUMINT capability development in NATO.
