On 12 June 2020, the Romanian Prime Minister, Mr. Ludovic ORBAN, accompanied by the Romanian Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nicolae-Ionel CIUCĂ, and the Romanian Minister for Transport, Insfrastructure and Communications, Mr. Lucian Nicolae BODE, visited the NATO HUMINT Centre of Excellence (HCOE).
The HCOE Director, Colonel Florin-Vasile TOMIUC, briefed the distinguished visitors on the mission, vision, and history of NATO HCOE. Additionally, he detailed the important contributions that our institution provides in support of emerging NATO requirements and continuing deployments.
The Romanian Minister of National Defence highlighted the commitment of the HCOE Sponsoring Nations: Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and The United States of America. Alongside Romania, as a framework nation, the HCOE Sponsoring Nations provide a cohesive team of subject matter experts that shapes the Centre`s HUMINT education and training process and aligns it to NATO core principles and standards.
The visit ended with the tour of the HCOE training and lodging facilities. These facilities allow HCOE to perform a large range of activities such as; training courses, conferences, working groups and seminars in support of the Alliance.
