On October 10th, 2024, the NATO HUMINT Centre of Excellence (HCOE) hosted the visit of Colonel Mark LESSMAN, Director of the U.S. HUMINT Training – Joint Center of Excellence. Colonel Iulian BARBU, the HCOE Director, welcomed Colonel LESSMAN and briefed him on the HCOE`s projects.
The visit aimed to foster the exchange of best practices in individual and collective education, training, and lessons learned. The collaboration between the two institutions seeks to enhance national and NATO HUMINT capabilities, which are critical in military operations and in the strategic decision-making.
Since 2010, the United States of America has been a sponsor nation for the HCOE, making significant contributions, alongside the other Centre`s sponsoring nations, to more efficiently address the needs of the Alliance in HUMINT domain.
