Colonel Herbert MILLET was appointed the Deputy Director of the NATO HUMINT Centre of Excellence on the 30th of May 2024.
He began his career by enlisting in the Air Force in 1992 and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 2003 through Officer Training School. As a career intelligence professional, he has served in a variety operational, staff, and command assignments at the detachment, squadron, component-major command, and sub-unified command levels. He has extensive knowledge of airborne ISR operations. Colonel Millet has deployed in direct support of Operations Vigilant Warrior, Joint Forge, Allied Force, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom.
The NATO HUMINT COE deputy director holds an extensive education and training portfolio, including Master’s Degrees in Strategic Studies and Military Operational Art and Science. Additionally, he holds a Master of Business Administration degree. Colonel Millet has attended the United States Air Force Air Command and Staff College and the Air War College.
Colonel Millet’s awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, and Aerial Achievement Medal.
