Published on February 28, 2024

NATO HUMINT Centre of Excellence organized and hosted from 17 to 18 January 2024 the workshop “Artificial Intelligence (AI) in support of HUMINT”. AI and HUMINT experts, as well as Concept Development & Experimentation stakeholders across NATO nations and organizations participated in the event.
Fully aware of its role and responsibility in the broad framework of NATO capability development, and based on the NATO HUMINT Technology Working Group acknowledgement of AI’s potential and relevance for HUMINT capability, HCOE undertook the initiative of providing to the NATO HUMINT community a well-informed perspective on how the AI capability can be leveraged in support of HUMINT. In this respect, following the publication of a preliminary study, HCOE started to work on the development of a proof-of-concept, in parallel with drafting a Concept Paper.
