On the 29th of July 2020, our organization celebrated 10 years since North Atlantic Council accredited HUMINT Centre of Excellence as a NATO Centre of Excellence and activated it as International Military Organization.
We were very honored by the presence of Romanian Chief of Defense Staff, Lieutenant General Daniel PETRESCU, Chief of Romanian Military Intelligence Directorate, Lieutenant General Marian SIMA, Chief of Romanian Land Forces Staff, Major General Iulian BERDILĂ, high level representatives of the Sponsoring Nations, and local military and civilian authorities, at the ceremony organized on this occasion.
The 10 year milestone is the perfect time to look back at what we have accomplished and look forward to what we want to achieve. We are proud of our accomplishments and will continue to improve the HUMINT capability within the North Atlantic Alliance.
As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we have the great opportunity to thank our Framework Nation, Romania, for the continuous support provided to NATO HUMINT Centre of Excellence, and to our Sponsoring Nations, the Czech Republic, the Hellenic Republic, Hungary, the Republic of Poland, the Slovak Republic, the Republic of Slovenia, the Republic of Turkey and the United States of America. Their commitment to the NATO HUMINT COE program is at the core of all HUMINT products and services provided by our institution.
Through continuous investments in our academic environment and the staff professional development, we aim to provide outstanding educational experiences which will lead to qualified, confident, and capable professionals who are prepared to fulfill their duty at highest standards.
In sign of recognition of the professionalism and dedication of all personnel at NATO HUMINT Centre of Excellence, the Centre was awarded the Emblem of Honor of the Romanian Defence Intelligence.
As we look forward to the next decade, we are more prepared than ever to support new programmes and projects aimed at transforming the Human Intelligence domain in line with Alliance’s priorities and meeting the challenges of an ever changing world.
